Feed better.
Keep it realistic.

Dry, frozen raw, freeze-dried, canned, gently cooked and practical help building a routine that works for your dog and your life.

THE McKENZIE WAY

Make better feeding doable.

For most dogs, we like a realistic foundation: a good-quality dry food that fits the dog and the household, then add fresh-food variety when you can.

Raw is our favorite way to add fresh food. Freeze-dried is convenient, canned adds moisture and flavor, and gently cooked brings another fresh-food option to the freezer. For a lot of families, adding one of those options a few times a week is an attainable upgrade without turning feeding into a second job.

Good food should work for the dog—and for the person feeding it.

WHAT YOU WON'T FIND IN OUR DOG FOOD

Corn. Wheat. Soy. By-product meals.

We choose our dog-food assortment intentionally. We avoid corn, wheat, soy and by-product meals in the dog foods we stock, and we favor U.S.-sourced ingredients and products whenever practical.

BUILD A REALISTIC BOWL

Start with a strong core. Add better when you can.

THE CORE

Quality dry

Practical, nutritionally complete and easy to keep consistent. We can help narrow proteins, formulas and price points.

FRESH

Raw or freeze-dried

Raw is a favorite fresh-food addition; freeze-dried is a convenient way to add variety without managing a freezer at every meal.

MOISTURE + FLAVOR

Wet food

An easy way to add moisture and palatability. It can be a meal, topper or part of a rotation.

FIVE WAYS TO FEED

Find the format that fits your dog.

HOW WE LIKE TO FEED

Variety is part of the plan.

Rotational feeding is core to our philosophy. For healthy dogs that handle food changes well, we like having more than one good option in the toolbox—different proteins, recipes and feeding formats instead of assuming one bag has to be the forever bag.

01

Build a strong core

Start with complete, balanced food that works for your dog, your budget and your routine.

02

Rotate with purpose

Try another protein, recipe or format when it makes sense. Some dogs switch easily; sensitive dogs may do better with a gradual transition.

03

Add fresh when you can

Raw, wet and freeze-dried foods can add variety without making dinner complicated.

$10 OFF
ROTATION PALLET

We usually have a NutriSource or Pure Vita formula on a special pallet for $10 off, and the formula changes every week or two. It's our way of making it easier to try another recipe and keep some variety in the bowl.

ITCHY DOG?

Food is one of the first places we look.

We start with the big stuff: the food, treats, chews and everything else going into the dog. We make a clear change, keep the plan consistent, and see what happens.

If we're still seeing problems after a few weeks, that's when we start digging into the smaller details instead of changing one tiny thing at a time from day one.

Bring us the clues.
